Abstract

The crystallization of a concrete direction in terms of Hungarian composition begins in the first half of the 20th century, in the European context that favors these creative trends, which develop in parallel in all the countries of South-Eastern Europe. The merit of bringing Hungarian music to the universe of European music, belongs to Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály, two prominent representatives of universal music precisely through their concerns that aimed at the processing and valorization of national music.
